# Changing Your Email Address

If you’ve changed your email address and need to update your account login, follow the steps below.

## Changing Email Address

1. Log in to your [account](https://app.thousandeyes.com/volunteers).
   * If you can’t remember your login details, see [Logging In](https://docs.volunteers.thousandeyes.com/help-center/your-account/logging-in).
2. Click the user icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
3. Select **Personal details** from the dropdown menu.

4. Beside the **Email** field, click **Change**.

5. Enter the address you wish to use in the **New Email Address** field. Repeat it in the **Confirm Email Address** field.

6. Click **Save** to confirm.

## Email Address Already in Use

We only assign one account per email address. If you attempt to save an email address that already exists in our system, you will be presented with an error message: “Email already exists”.
