The Benefits of Volunteering

Last updated 6 months ago

There are many benefits of joining our Whitebox community:

  • Get visibility into your network that few others have.

  • Using , get instant broadband speed updates.

  • Understand changes in your connection to ensure you are getting what you are paying for.

  • Be part of the movement helping regulators improve the internet for all.

If you’re selected as a study participant, we'll send you a free Whitebox that will measure lots of speed metrics. You will be able to view your own internet performance via a dashboard that visualizes your data and helps you track your internet performance over time.

You can share this data with your ISP to help resolve issues. These measurements will also contribute to reports we publish about internet infrastructure. These reports help highlight underserved towns or areas and can help inform government policy.
