Our National Broadand Studies

Last updated 6 months ago

We believe in building a better internet for everyone. And that starts with helping all of us understand our internet performance.

For many years, we’ve been conducting large-scale measurement studies across the globe that help regulators improve internet performance for everyone, to ensure good service from densely populated cities to far-reaching rural areas.

For more information about how and why we set up these studies, see .

Our Volunteer Program

When we set up a national study of broadband performance, we recruit volunteers from all across the country who are customers of all manner of internet service providers (ISPs) and subscribe to their various broadband packages. The data these volunteers help collect is published regularly in public reports that aim to drive investment, improve performance, and supply consumers with reliable, unbiased information about the relative performance of their country’s ISPs, connection technologies, and online applications.

Selected volunteers receive a free that can help them monitor their own internet performance as well as contribute to improving the internet performance in their wider community.

See to learn more about our selection process.

We are currently running the following studies. If you live in one of these countries, you are welcome to sign up as a volunteer.
